Climate Change Crisis ‘Catastrophe’? What about a financial catastrophe?

Some UN report is showing a looming catastrophe due to a three-fourths of a degree Cecilius temperature increase over the last 100 years – most of the increase happened in “recent” decades.

It reports that 300,000 per year die due to the warming earth and 300 MILLION are said (in this report) to be seriously affected by the warmth.

“For the first time we are trying to get the world’s attention to the fact that climate change is not something waiting to happen. It is impacting seriously the lives of many people around the world,” the forum’s president, former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, told CNN.

I have good news people of planet earth and Mr. Annan. Yesterday I linked to a report that shows that sunspot activity is at an an historic low.  That means that we are in for a very cold spell.

No sunspots verses man-made global warming… who ya’ got?

I pick the sun.  It is f***ing huge and could swallow a billion SUVs without getting indigestion.

Seriously, where is the report about how socialism and communism hurts or kills millions every year.  The spreading of the poverty (a.k.a. “trickle-up poverty”) that most socialist nations experience costs many people pain, suffering, and doesn’t allow much extra cash to pay for environmental cleanup.  Look at poor industrial nations if you don’t believe me.  Most of them are filthy.  Toxins flow into rivers where people get their drinking water, wash their clothes and wash themselves.

Which costs more lives – The imagined man-made warming or actual poverty caused by government bureaucrat planned economies?

THAT is a report you will never see at the United Nations.

How many people have died because the UN has allowed Palestinian “Refugees” to remain “refugees” even though any other people would have been reclassified decades ago because they resettled elsewhere and are NO LONGER REFUGEES?!?

How many people strap bombs to themselves and strike at Israel because they think he UN is behind them in waiting for the day that Israel is destroyed?

How many people sit around waiting for UN assistance as a global welfare program instead of helping themselves only to be left waiting (and die in the process)?

How many people die because UN members do not have the testicular fortitude to do something when tin-plated despots launch missiles and finance and endorse terrorism?

How many will die because well meaning liberals will divert financial resources to averting temperature changes on earth (impossible) instead of using the money to prepare the poor and suffering for the adaptation to the changing planet that will be necessary for our survival?

The silence from the UN on these questions is your answer.

2008 – Biggest Year for Sunspot-Free Days Since 1913

In case you haven’t been updated by the Global Warming – Caused By Mankind Crowd yet – 2008 was a big year for sunspot free days. (<-See the story at watts up with that)

We are heading for a very cool period in our earthly environment if the sun has anything to do with it.  Prepare accordingly.  Large Government Motors SUVs will be in high demand so they can increase the much needed carbon footprint to help warm the planet to save us all.

Government Motors Reaches Deal But Still Goes Bankrupt

So more bondholders caved in on a revised deal that will give them a 10% share of stock in a new GM in exchange for converting their bonds.  They also get an option to purchase up to 15% in a new GM.  They have to hurry up and make their choice by Saturday.

Even with the great news – GM will most likely descend into bankruptcy because of staggering bond payments that the beleaguered company cannot make.

The US Government (now running the company) has been throwing good money after bad in an effort to stave off this very outcome.  Obama may say that he has no intentions of running an automobile manufacturing company, but that doesn’t mean that he is not.

I am so glad this has been a great year for Mr. Anderson.  For the rest of us and those losing their jobs and dealerships (and for everything else we need to combat the nausea), there is always Walgreens.

Pelosi in China – Will She Stay?

Nancy Pelosi is in China ahead of the 20th anniversary of the massacre in Tiannamen Square or the “crackdown” on the Tiananmen Square democracy protests, as referred to by the AP.

Among human rights issues and the remark or two about North Korea and the disturbing and other hand wringing emotions the tests evoked, Pelosi was really there to talk about climate change.  The House Speaker is already on record making foolish statements about global warming.  A year or two ago she went to Greenland and could not believe that retreating ice sheets have exposed farming and mining equipment from long lost farmers and miners.  This was her evidence that we humans are too blame for the warming.  She could not explain how it was actually warmer when the mining and farming took place there and how with no SUVs or coal-fired power plants they were able to keep the climate warm enough to continue those endeavors.

Nevertheless, here she was in China, offering a rebuke of her people and of the Chinese and their newfound wealth.  The side effects (emissions) are destroying the entire planet and we have got to do something.  Facts are unecessary when the speech is about feelings.  Democrats are in charge, so feelings take precedent over facts.

You won’t find any words about this trip on CNN’s website anywhere.  They are duty bound to Obama to keep a lid on this public relations train wreck and her verbal diarrea of the mouth with respect to her knowledge of torture after briefings by the “liars” at the CIA.

Richard Nixon went to China too – but that was actually before the election cycle of 1972 and the Watergate break in.  Pelosi is really there to stay out of the US press for awhile.  She isn’t taking any relevant questions anyway.

In the early 1990s she unfurled a banner about those massacred in the square as part of her long track record of fighting human rights violations.  She is no less a radical liberal today – she just dresses nicer and has undergone much more cosmetic surgery since then.   She also has become an expert at the art of jujitsu when it comes to torture and maintaining your role as a guardian of human rights.

No wonder Obama is happy that she is in China for awhile:

Joe Biden took a shot at his teleprompter-aided boss while giving a speech to graduates of the US Air Force Academy.  Winds knocked down the teleprompter and Biden quipped, “What am I going to tell the President?  If his teleprompter  is broken – What will he do then?”
