Paul Harvey has passed at the age of 90. Whether you liked his show or hated it, he made an impact for longer than most of us have been alive. He started in radio in 1933.
And now, the rest of the story is over.

Since Democrat supporters have opened the gauntlet by running political ads saying that Republicans take cues from Rush Limbaugh, I will comment on this particular event at CPAC.
Rush Limbaugh gave the keynote speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday. The drive by media, as he coined them, are collectively describing the event akin to Nazi rallies with Hitler as the speaker.
Here is the catch, Limbaugh is correct. Perhaps Republicans should be taking hints from Limbaugh.
His biggest sin, according to the elites in the media, was saying that he wanted Obama to fail.
Even in coverage of the event, CNN made it look like Limbaugh was defending his remarks as if he was ashamed of wanting people to know that he hoped for Obama’s failure:
Comparing the remark to his desire to see the Arizona Cardinals “fail” in this year’s Super Bowl game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Limbaugh defended his comment without denying it.
Limbaugh” “This notion that I want the president to fail, folks, this shows you a sign of the problem we’ve got.”
“What is so strange about being honest and saying, I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation? Why would I want that to succeed?”
On the War in Iraq:
“Did the Democrats want the war in Iraq to fail? Well, they certainly did. And they not only wanted the war in Iraq to fail, they proclaimed it a failure.”
On Obama , the economy, socialism and control liberals have coveted for decades:
“He (Obama) wants people in fear, angst and crisis, fearing the worst each and every day because that clears the decks for President Obama and his pals to come in with the answers which are abject failures, historically shown and demonstrated. Doesn’t matter. They’ll have control of it when it’s all over. And that’s what they want,” Limbaugh said.
“They (liberals) see these inequalities, these inequities that capitalism produces. How do they try to fix it? Do they try to elevate those at the bottom? No, they try to tear down the people at the top. “
All of those remarks are true. Like it or not.

Is it me or has Nancy Pelosi begun to look more and more like Joan Rivers towards the last few face-lifts?
Democrats voiced concerns over the Iraq draw down plan that has the USA “out of Iraq” by 2010 but with 50,000 troops there.
That is akin to cutting the deficit by spending $2 trillion dollars on pork products (and calling it “the other white meat”).
Obama released his planned budget. It is big. Very big. I can’t see the spending cuts. Do you see them? From what I see, it is long on spending, short on cuts and very big on tax hikes. Get ready to be rich, because Obama will need you to be considered rich so he can tax you to pay for these “down payments” on our future health care panacea.
Meanwhile, Nancy has decided to emasculate our President by getting tough on taxes. She would have raised them a lot faster and felt that the Prez was being too generous. She, like Joe Biden, thinks that it is HER money.
Nancy, please remember, it is NOT your money.
In a reversal of a ban that has been enforced since 1991, the Pentagon has reversed course and will allow photographs of flag-draped coffins if the family approves.
No family will be exploited by the media, right?
A reminder of the human cost of war is often cited as reason enough to snap photos of this sort, but I suspect that this has much more to do with those opposed to war no matter what.
I am opposed to bubonic plague, but if plague initiates hostilities against us, I will support a war against it.
