Looking Ahead: GOP Plans, Palin and Gustav

It is always about choosing.

When Gustav was approaching I gave the GOP some suggestions.  Were they reading?

With so little known about Palin – I am less appalled at the pick than at first.  You have to admire McCain’s pure political triangulation.  Obama can’t pick on her experience nor her gender. If she can debate well, it could be a tough 60 days for the Obama “world rock n roll” tour ‘08.

The GOP can market itself as doing what the Democrtas don’t have the stones to do.

Climate Change vs Mass Promotion = Idiocy

Great time for my trip to Los Angeles.

EA is running a promotion for a new video game. I know Jack about anything even remotely tied to video games – least of all Mercenaries 2.  I do know that it doesn’t take any degree in any form of science to know that the climate is constantly changing.  It was changing before the industrial age and it is changing now.

The morons who climb on the bandwagon the fastest, the loudest, and with the best related music videos is Hollywood.  It is so rich to see people clogging the streets of the greater Los Angeles area to get free gasoline.

Lots of idling automobiles on a hot sunny day in August.  I think I am going to buy some stock in Electronic Arts.  They are my kind of people.

Rock Star and Biden verses McCentrist and Whatshername

The concert for Obama ended the Democratic Balloonfestival in Denver last night and today we learned that McCain did indeed make his VP pick.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was picked for one reason and it is as transparent as Obama’s resume – Female and young.

I don’t know if her biography (lifetime member of the NRA and lightening rod for controversy surrounding her tough stance on political shenanigans) is strong enough to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

This move is designed to attract angry Hillary supporters but it will most likely backfire for the following reasons:

1. Most Hillary supporters tend to be pro Choice, anti-gun and liberal in general
2. The knock on Obama is his thin resume and his choice for VP (Biden as attempt to gain ‘”gravitas”) contradicts his b.s. change message – Picking an even younger running mate weakens McCain’s argument
3. By not choosing a VP from a large state that is “in play” hurts his chances in the electoral college.
4. Unless this women is really impressive to the conservative base – it is now over

No – YOU could be the next VP – or not.

McCain knows… and he isn’t telling.  Not even the one he picked.

Clinton Speech Removes Doubt

Now that former President Clinton has endorsed Obama and says that he is ready to lead, we should believe him. Before, when he said that Obama was not ready to lead, we were supposed to believe him, or was that.. to not believe him?

Based on the headlines it is clear that MSN is convinced.

I wonder if we should take any politician seriously anymore? If we were supposed to worry about who would answer the phone at 3 am in the event of a national emergency before – why not now?

Did the world suddenly change in the last few months? If so, then Bush must have performed some miracle with his policies. If Bush’s policies are so good, then why not have them continued? If McCain = Bush, then I guess you should vote for McCain?

Why do people who look you in the eye and lie (both Democrats and Republicans) expect us to believe them now? Wouldn’t it be better to just wait until next week or month or year when they will tell us the real truth THEN?

Remember, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman… Ms. Lewinsky.” Not that anyone (besides the Mrs.) cared. You were under oath in a case against you for using your position to sexually harass female employees (not that NOW seemed to care). Months later, his story changed.

Please forgive me if I don’t respond in the trance-like state that MSN was in after gazing into your eyes and listening to your emphatic and passionate words.

Either you believe that Obama is prepared and will be better than McCain or you don’t. If you are waiting for marching orders from Bill Clinton then I ask the following question: who are the mind numbed robots? Democrats or those who listen to Rush Limbaugh?
